The Green Key Program is one of the most important pioneers of sustainability and environmental awareness in Greece. It operates under the umbrella of the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature and is affiliated with the Foundation for Environmental Education based in Denmark. Globally the Green Key Program boasts 2900 establishments in 57 countries. In Greece there are over 300 properties associated with the Green Key.
By collecting used soap bars in hotels and recycling them, Clean Hands donates soap to organizations that are in need. Many small and large hotels have embarked on this initiative, enhancing their sustainability profile and contributing to recycling efforts. Clean Hands is a non-profit organization and its efforts are very much appreciated by Ecotourism-Greece.com.

Our close collaboration with NCC in conjunction with the LIFE+ program was pivotal for successfully organizing a one-day seminar on ecotourism in the city of Volos with the aim of promoting ecotourism and birdwatching around Lake Karla.
