The Moraitis winemakers in Naoussa have now updated their methods with the budding of the new generation within the family who has taken this traditional yet challenging task upon themselves. This venue is more of a wine-tasting hall complete with multimedia projections while possibly getting delightfully tipsy.
The Kourti «Inovion» vineyards are organically grown, and the wine is made following the organic method, and with a Green Control certification. Until 2007, the wines produced there were characterised as table wine, but from 2008 and on the winery’s labels are listed as Pieria Regional Wine. To visit the winery, call Apostolos Kourtis.
Resucitating a winemaking tradition begun by the Terzi family in 1926, the newer generation of winemakers has replanted its vineyards and is today producing a quality organic wine. The winery can be visited by appointment only.
Winemakers Pavlos Argyropoulos and Andreas Pandos teamed up to produce a surprisingly sophisticated white wine from Assyrtiko, Chardonnay and Malagouzia grapes, called «Eratines Wishes» and two red wines, one of which is the much lauded «Nude King Syrah».

The ‘kyathos’ was the deep bowl used to collect wine from barrels before being ladled into drinking cups. A good name for this winery that makes a lovely dry muscat.
This label is most known for its “Crinin” dry red, full-bodied and bountiful. The winery boasts organic vineyards as well.

Known for its signature sweet wine, the Montofoli Estate has been an important site of culture dating back to antiquity. Several artefacts were found throughout the area and can now be seen in the Archaeological Museum of Karystos.

On the border between Attica and Viotia, father and son of the Papakonstantinou family have been producing, preserving and bottling wine of different grape varieties such as Savatiano and Roditis (White), Cabarnet Sauvignon, Grenache Rouge, Merlot and Syrah (Red). Rose and resin wines (Retsina) are also produced.
Deeper in Viotia the vineyards and wines of Askri (or Askre) are also considered superb. There is a wine factory in Askri that you can visit and vineyards as well. The Samartzis Bros Co. produces wine made of Chardonnay, Cabarnet Sauvignon, Roditis Moschofilero and many other varieties.
With vineyards by the Lagos lagoon, this estate is a wonderful place to visit and offers organic wines tended to by the Sgouridis brothers who realised the dream of their parents. Respect to the Greek varieties of grape and the local landscape run deep here.
