The city of Nafplion, which was the capital of Greece around 200 years ago, is today the culinary capital of the Peloponnese. Its culinary scene is robust and diverse, from wine cellars and traditional ‘tavernas’ to delicatessens. The easy stroll takes you to specialty food shops to try the region’s wines, ouzo, cheeses, local sausage, ice cream and traditional coffee. For 3 hours, as you go from one food shop to the other, you also get to see this little city’s key architectural landmarks and buildings, which intriguing explanations from your guide. Learn about the regional winemaking tradition and history of Greek cuisine in the company of a talented local guide.  You won’t be able to resist buying some of the goodies on the way!
