Welcome to a private tour that will take you on to magical spots on Santorini where few have gone. Visit hidden and unknown corners of the island and wander through the countryside as you learn what makes this island tick, from its farming practices to its age-old traditions.
We’ll be happy to pick you up wherever you are before heading to the lesser-known heartland of the Santorini to see attractions beyond the Caldera, as well as to the southern part of the island with its old-world charm. You’ll come face to face with interesting landmarks such as a secret historic church lying discretely within a cave, the traditional village of Emporio with its maze of paths, a fascinating Venetian castle, and an organic farm nestled among some of Santorini’s vineyards.
See for yourself how the local agriculture works on this relatively dry island, learn how delicious wine is made, and sample local “meze” or appetizers for some real island cuisine. We’ll also be visiting what’s known as the Hill of Gabriel to see the remains of some curiously old windmills, moving on to the wondrous Vlychada where the sea laps against fascinating moonscapes.
Places you wouldn’t have come across by yourself, enlightening facts about Cycladic island life, unique religious customs, the magic of an agricultural economy where water is sparse, and many more interesting insights await you on this trip. Trust us to take you on an off-road escapade away from your average tourist, and you’ll end up seeing places like you’ve never thought possible.
