The Mediterranean SOS Network, MEDSOS for short, is an NGO run by environmentalists, social scientists and engineers. It raises public awareness regarding the environment, lobbies for policy change on the topic and promotes public involvement in sustainable development. MEDSOS activities range from voluntary cleanups and conferences to educational seminars and environmental projects. Several businesses in the hospitality and tourism sector are supporters of MEDSOS, which is not surprising since Greece has the largest coastline in Europe, heavily surrounded by tourism development. Our thanks to all these businesses who are in one way or another contributing to a cleaner Mediterranean.
