With the backing of organizations such as the European Cyclists’ Federation and the EU-funded Iron Curtain Trail, Cyclists Welcome Hellas evaluated and certified hotels that are friendly to bikers. Hotels had to criteria such as offering healthy breakfast, space to store or park bikes, basic maintenance equipment and more. While the program ended a few years ago, at Ecotourism-Greece.com we find it is important to highlight businesses that embarked on this noteworthy effort.
