Our deepest appreciation goes out to Arcturos, the environmental NGO that works fervently on protecting wildlife in the country. Emerging in 1992 initially to combat the imprisonment of wolves and bears, the organization has expanded its activities to scientific research, environmental education, public awareness and political pressure with respect to biodiversity and sustainability. Today, in addition to the bear and wolf, many protected species are benefitting from the work of Arcturos such as the chamois, deer, jackal, otter, roe deer and shepherd dog. From combatting animals in captivity to protecting Flora, Arcturos has contributed to stronger biodiversity. It is now increasingly attracting the attention of many in the hospitality industry that depend on harmony in nature. These hotels have become firm supporters of Arcturos.
