You must also go see the Plaka bridge (Gefiri Plakas) which is a centuries-old architectural wonder, as well as picturesque lake Pournari, formed by hydroelectric dam built on the river.
For watersports lovers, Koronisia, an islet connected by a land bridge that sits smack in the middle of the Amvrakikos gulf, offers fabulous opportunities to windsurf and kitesurf. Hike to the top of Xerovouni mountain from the attractive village of Rodavgi, then dine in one of the village’s local eateries.
