Maistros Studios
Maistros Studios are located amidst olive groves overlooking the sea in Galaxidi, one of Greece’s most picturesque and authentic seaside towns.
These three charming pet-friendly studios have character and offer the perfect getaway home in a well-to-do traditional village. Personal touches such as the handmade patchwork wall hangings and comfy outdoor terraces make these studios the perfect relaxing getaway and starting point for an eco-tour. Best of all, Mrs. Dimitra the owner has earned excellent reviews for her studios and the attention she gives to guests.
Greek country breakfast and flavors
One of the best things about Maistros Studios the homemade breakfast. Fresh country eggs, regional cheeses, local honey, savory pies, fresh fruit and much more will grace your breakfast table, along with coffee and tea. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the property’s back garden. You also have a well-equipped kitchen to prepare your own healthy Mediterranean meals, salads and snacks using olive oil from the property’s own olive grove! In addition, the kindly owner Mrs. Dimitra can teach you how to prepare dough for baking local breads and pies! Great emphasis is placed on using local products in everything.
Impressive sites and activities
Galaxidi lies in Central Greece, where sea and mountain blend with nature, myth and ancient sites. To begin with, there are many local hiking paths in the area that lead to notable sites such as the Monastery of Metamorphosis, Ancient Galaxidi and the Church of Saint Nicholas. Avid hikers can even take the ancient footpath to Delphi and climb further up to the mythical Corycian cave where muses played and Pan was worshipped. Outdoor activities such as diving and mountain biking can also be arranged, so can mountain climbing. Galaxidi also offers sailing for kids. Just ask the owners Mrs. Dimitra and Mr. Vaggelis to help you plan an ecotourism excursion!
Green philosophy
Although the owners don’t yet have an official written green strategy, like many small places, they have adopted many eco practices by default such as promoting and encouraging the use of local products, and using eco-friendly detergents and recycling where possible. Mrs. Dimitra even uses baking soda and vinegar to clean around the property. Her attractive patchwork on the walls depicting local scenes is an excellent example of homemade art, while the cooking lessons she provides to interested visitors help keep culinary traditions alive. We’re happy that the couple is making progress to adopt more green practices and count their property as one of the greenest in the area. Lastly, we regard the pet-friendly aspect a positive step in being more inclusive and respectful to nature.
