Belonging to the University of Patras, this shelter in the Patras suburb of Rio is 4,000 meters square with an olive grove and accommodation for animals. It houses many stray dogs, some of which are given up for adoption. The dogs are vaccinated and many are neutered. Much effort is placed on finding homes for pets.
