Mikrothevaes

Mikrothevaes was named after the ancient city by the same name. Excavations have revealed ruins on the hill 7 km southwest of the city. Fortified walls of the 4th century BC, an ancient temple, a theatre and an arcade have also been uncovered. The area is related to Pyrassos, later called Fthiotides Thivaes.
