Housed in an impressive 19th Century mansion that belonged to Panayiotis Galatsopoulos, the museum, founded in 1992, is located in Kolindros’ historical center. Visitors can look at a collection of photographs, texts and objects related to the cultural and folklore traditions of Kolindros and the wider Macedonian region throughout the ages. Rare objects, hand-written books, household items, educational texts and handicrafts are shown here, revealing interesting aspects of the locals’ social and family life.
