Recent history and ancient history come together in this tiny museum right in the center of the village of Arkasa. It holds archeological finds from the acropolis of Arkasa and the Church of Agia Anastasia (today the Church of Agia Sophia).
Beyond the archeological finds, this is the perfect place to discover what life was like in a traditional Karpathian home a few decades ago – and in some instances even today, as this island is known for preserving tradition. Admire the paintings from the islands, decorative items, old furniture, local embroidery and other items that will captivate you with a sense of nostalgia and Mediterranean mystery.
