The Ecclesiastical Museum of Milos by the waterfront in Adamas lies appropriately in a thousand-year-old church of the Holy Trinity. Icons and wood carvings dating from more prosperous Venetian times and gifts from local migrants to Russia are on display, including 14th century icons. Of particular interest is the icon from the Cretan School which represents Christ’s body being carried down from the cross, as well as several paintings by Antoinio Skordilis. Chalices, iconostases, a bishop’s throne from the 17th century and much more provide interesting displays.
