Cave Sanctuary of Pan

You can almost picture Pan, the naughty nymph semi-god, running in and out of his little cave, conveniently located on the slopes of the Acropolis Hill within easy reach of all the goddesses and maidens who frequented the area.

Deep inside Pan’s cave, archeologists found a relief of a naked Pan – along with a dog – chiseled in the rock. The site is on the foothills of Areopagus Hill, not far from the pedestrian street of Apostolou Pavlou.
