Arguably one of the finest beaches throughout the island is the enchanting hideaway beach of Schinodavila.
It’s a welcome sight to hikers at the end of the Agios Dimitrios Gorge, though the road which winds through the gorge makes Schinodavila available to non-hikers as well. The dark green water and white pebbles create a picturesque contrast hard to find elsewhere. The beach is growing in popularity with free campers, so if you visit during the weekend or peak summer months, expect company. The beach is completely unorganized with no tavernas or shops nearby.
