Beginning at the famous Konitsa bridge, the route starts out as a dirt road and continues in this fashion for the first 2 kilometres. Afterwards, it becomes a path with patches of dirt road throughout. A large portion of the route follows the Aoos River, making it one of the most picturesque throughout the region.
