Andros Museums

Once an old ice making shop, this museum proudly presents the folklore of the island, feature silver artisan work, miniature wooden churches of the island and hagiography (the study of saints with a byzantine twist).

Andros has a strong maritime museum, and this is the place to understand it beautifully. Miniature ships, first steam freighters in Greece and lithographs mingle with old freight contracts, insurance contracts and nautical diaries, some of which date before the 1821 War of Independence.
